Chez Reavie Hoping to Qualify for the Ryder Cup

William Chesney “Chez” Reavie is a professional golfer from America who plays on the PGA Tour. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 12, 1981. Chez began playing golf while at Arizona State University and turned professional in 2004, where he swooped three wins on tour; 1 PGA Tour and 3 Tour.

Chez Reavie won at the 2007 Knoxville Open while playing on the Nationwide Tour between 2005 and 2007. He earned his PGA Tour Card in 2007 when he finished 18th on the Nationwide Tour money list. His rookie season on the PGA Tour was in 2008. It was in this same year that he won his maiden PGA Tour title at the 2008 RBC Canadian Open. This win boosted his career by earning him a two-year exemption to remain on the PGA Tour and a whopping $900,000.

Will Chez Reavie Qualify for the Ryder Cup?

It has been a decade since Chez Reavie began seeking his first win in PGA Tour. He is, however, inching closer to the Ryder Cup berth. One week after losing in the playoffs at the Waste Management Phoenix Open to Gary Woodland, Chez Reavie tied for second place at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, just three strokes behind Ted Potter Jr. These two finishes have seen Reavie move up to the ninth position in the latest United States Ryder Cup standings. The playoff against Woodland was Reavie’s best performance since 2011.

The top eight will automatically qualify for Paris after the PGA Championship. The current standings are as follows:

  1. Dustin Johnson
  2. Brooks Koepka
  3. Justin Thomas
  4. Jordan Spieth
  5. Matt Kuchar
  6. Brian Harman
  7. Gary Woodland
  8. Rickie Fowler
  9. Chez Reavie
  10. Patrick Reed
  11. Patton Kizzire
  12. Phil Mickelson

Chez Reavie is one of the greatest golfers at this time. His comeback has been anticipated for almost ten years. He currently ranks at number 46 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
